As just reported by Chad Bishop, WKU has landed a transfer from Butler. Freshman guard Chris Harrison-Docks will be transferring from Butler and will be the newest Hilltopper. When I heard the news a few weeks ago I had a feeling this might be one that Harper would be in on, but I had been unable to find anything on it yet. Ray put the full court press on this kid during the recruiting process, but he decided on Butler over us as a Junior in high school. It appears now that he has rethought all that and thinks joining Ray and the Hilltoppers will be a much better career move.

Chris was listed as a 6'0" 155 lb point guard coming out of high school in Okemos, Michigan, but averaged nearly a triple-double as a senior. Chris will fill the remaining open scholarship for next years team, but something tells me that Ray will look to add one more if he can. Those scholarship numbers are tricky, but they always seem to find a way to work themselves out.

If my understanding of NCAA rules are right (which lets be honest no one has any understanding of them because they have different rules for every person) then Chris will enter WKU next fall with all four years of his eligibility in tact and ready to play when the season begins. He didn't suit up for Butler other than the two exhibition games, so he should be able to play from day 1 next year.

Join us in welcoming Chris to Hilltopper Nation! And check out some of his highlight videos here.
